Damaging Skills

Damage Skills List - Consult here all the Damaging skills available in AC2 (work in progress).

Damage Mitigation

Damage can be avoided, prevented or reduced by armor, skills, effects or items. All of these are called damage mitigation mechanics. Heals are not mitigation because they usually act after the damage landed, so they are a cure and not mitigation. All shields (armor, skills, buffs) are mitigation because they alter the damage before landing.

Evasion

  • Evasion - Ability to evade attacks from others.

While Evasion may allow you 'evade' incoming attacks, it will not stop you from getting hit.

Natural Armor

Natural Armor its the defensive natural skill that any player has due to its buffs only. Players can only check they're natural armor value if naked.

These are the skills that increase your natural armor. Some are fellow wide and others are self only. Also some are like "auras" (toggle on/off) and others are temporary.
Most Temporary Buffs last for 120s and will reset in 5min (600s), so are usually nicknamed "2/5" (2 min on for each 5 min).
Note: Spells that stack, can still be overwritten by a skill of greater effect or Spell Craft.

For example: Shield Wall overwrites Encase, unless for some reason Shield Wall skill is very low, and would provide less armor than Encase.

Debuffs

As a simple definition, Debuffs are all spells that reduce one or more of the target Stats, either the Natural Armor, Attack Speed, Velocity, Defenses, Acuracy, etc.
In AC2 Debuffs are very important, mainly because AR and defenses influence a lot the damage characters can do to a mob.

Debuff Effects

Most skill effects that debuff enemy targets, will fall into one of these categories. It should be noted that the Physical and Elemental debuffs have identical effects.

Physical
  • Bleed (Health Damage Over Time )
  • Numb (Movement Speed Reduction )
  • Poison (Attack Speed Reduction )
  • Disease (Vigour Damage Over Time )
  • Shock (Instant Vigour Damage )
Elemental
  • Fire (Health Damage Over Time )
  • Cold (Movement Speed Reduction )
  • Water (Attack Speed Reduction )
  • Lightning (Vigour Damage Over Time )
  • Energy (Instant Vigour Damage )
Other
  • Stun (Unable to Move and Attack)
  • Root (Unable to Move )
  • Knockback (Propels target backwards )
  • Armour Reduction (Increases Damage Taken)
  • Skill Reduction (Decreases attack or defensive masteries)
PVE (monster only)
  • Mezz (Puts the target monster to sleep)
  • Confuse (Monster acts randomly)
  • Opening (A combo that hits for massive damage when monster is vulnerable)
  • Taunt (Makes the monster think you've done more damage)
  • De-Taunt (Makes the monster think you've done less damage)

Armor Debuffs

The most relevants for damage and the main reason people search debuffers for a fellow.
These debuffs reduce the AR from target. So a Debuff value of 100 means that the Mob will have a new AR value of his Base AR-100.

SkillGossamerFlesh.png - Gossamer Flesh Sorcerer Human 170 225 280 Single Doesn't Stack with others 100% (the top AR debuff)

SkillLure.png - Lure Melee Tree Lugian 50 - - Single 50% effect Stacks with others. Also 50% self debuffs. 29% of Gossamer Flesh

Defenses Debuffs

Another important defuff that adds to the previous in getting more damage in. Reducing all defenses means more melee, magic and missile damage to the target.
These Debuffs reduce the Mastery of the target, so a Debuff value of 100 means that the target will loose 100 Mastery points of avoidance in all types of defenses.

Name Tree Race Lv50 Lv100 Lv150 Target Notes
SkillExpose.png - Expose Claw Bearer Tumerok 100 - - Single reduces all defenses: melee, magic and missile

Attack Skills Debuffs

These are also important so the target does less damage. The most common ones reduce attack speed and they all share CD time. But there are also others that reduce the damage output by itself. Its like reducing the target mastery accuracy.

Damage Skill Debuffs

These Debuffs reduce the Mastery of the Target, so a Debuff value of 100 means that the target will loose 100 Mastery points of accuracy in all types of attacks.

Name Tree Race Lv50 Lv100 Lv150 Target Notes
SkillAtaxia.png - Ataxia Sorcerer Human 200 - - Single reduces all attacks: melee, magic and missile

SkillBloodloather.png - Bloodloather Enchanter Human 40 100 - Single reduces all attacks: melee, magic and missile

Combat Speed Debuffs

These Debuffs reduce the Combat Speed of the Target, so a Debuff value of 50% means that the target will do half of the attacks per second it would normally do.

Name Tree Race Lv50 Lv100 Lv150 Target Notes
SkillStillWater.png - Still Water Sorcerer Human 50% - - Single attack speed
SkillAnemia.png - Anemia Bounty Hunter Human 50% - - Single attack speed

SkillPoisonArrow.png - Poison Arrow Missile Tree Human 30% - - Single attack speed and run speed

Stuns

These are really a combat speed debuff of 50% and run speed of 50%, with added damage and sometimes a taunt.
They all last 10 sec and share cooldowns (1 min). This means neither will stack and only the first one will be applyed.
